Anupamaa, the popular television show starring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna, has witnessed the departure of several actors over the course of its run. Names like Paras Kalnawat, Muskan Bamne, Sagar Parekh, and Anagha Bhosale have exited the show for various reasons, including discomfort with portraying on-screen parents or dissatisfaction with their character arcs. Nidhi Shah, who portrays Kinjal, initially contemplated leaving due to reservations about playing a mother at a young age. However, she ultimately decided to continue with the show, now portraying the role of a mother to a five-year-old. In a previous interview, Nidhi Shah expressed uncertainty about continuing with the show, citing her young age as a reason for hesitance in portraying a mother on screen. Unaware that a pregnancy track would be introduced so soon, she initially grappled with the emotional and mental preparedness required for such a role. Despite these concerns, she decided to trust the show's makers. Nidhi also discussed the possibility of eventually quitting the show, emphasizing her gratitude for the opportunity to play Kinjal. She conveyed a belief in the need for growth as an actor and expressed openness to considering exciting projects in the future, confident that the makers would understand her decision.




Nidhi's current portrayal of a mother in Anupamaa, despite her initial reservations, reflects the fluidity of an actor's mindset in response to evolving circumstances. In the upcoming episodes, Kinjal, played by Nidhi, requests Anu (Rupali Ganguly) to move in with Pari. However, Anu declines the request, anticipating Toshu's disapproval of Kinjal's presence in their home.
